An apprentice for 2 years at the renowned Lenôtre Paris before he embarked on his professional career, Jean Philippe joins us from a strong professional background in the Hospitality sector working predominantly as a Head Pastry Chef.

Until recently he was Head Pastry Chef at the Archerfield Walled Garden in East Lothia where he created products with an emphasis on seasonality and ingredients from their own garden. 

 

Before Archerfield, he was the Bakery Manager and Head Pastry Chef at Valvona & Crolla in Edinburgh creating new and exciting products - the company's roots were "firmly planted in tradition with the pursuit of ever increasing quality, value and service", which appeals to our own ethos!

 

Other professional venues that have benefitted from Jean Philippe's expertise and knowledge as Head Pastry Chef are Manna House in Edinburgh and Plaisir du Chocolat!

Jean Philippe now brings this wealth of experience to Killiecrankie and will create unique and beautiful products for all our visitors!  His specialities are a mix between French and German cakes or desserts like mousse, bavaroise or black forest - is your mouth watering yet?
